Birthdays, anniversaries, office dinners, farewells and the night before a wedding — all of it happens on this roof, most weeks. Here is what we can actually seat, what a group booking involves, and what it costs.
Room for it
Three areas, and the honest numbers for each
These are the counts the booking engine itself measures against, not a brochure figure. A party either fits an area or it does not, and splitting a group across two ends of a roof is two dinners rather than one party.

The booking form takes up to 60 guests in one booking — the terrace’s own seat count. A party that size can only land on Rooftop or Any; the smaller two areas are measured separately and will refuse a group they cannot fit. Past 60, call and we will plan it with you.

Party & kitty menus
Three fixed per-head menus from ₹550, for twenty guests or more. You pick the dishes when you book and the bill is settled before anybody sits down.
Everything else
Office dinners, team farewells, a family lunch that runs into the evening, a graduation, the night before a wedding. None of them need a special page — they need the same three things a birthday needs: an area that fits, food that arrives together, and a table nobody is turning after you. Tell us the date, the headcount and roughly what people eat, and we will come back with the options the same day.

How a group booking actually works
Four steps, and only the last one needs us.
Get the headcount, then pick the area
Every other decision hangs off the number. On the booking form you choose Rooftop, Indoor, the private corner or Any. Pick a specific area and we only confirm if it is genuinely free — we would rather the form said no than seat you somewhere else and apologise on the night.
Book earlier in the evening than feels right
Slots run hourly from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A group that arrives at seven has finished starters before the rush begins, so the mains land while the kitchen is still calm. The same group at nine gets everything, but it gets it in waves.
Say what the occasion is
One line on the form, and it is the step that changes the most. Choose the occasion and add a note — a surprise, a cake to hold back, somebody who cannot do chilli — and the evening is set up for it rather than served like any other table.
For more than fifteen people, call about the food
Past about fifteen, à la carte stops working — a kitchen cannot send thirty different dishes at once. That is where the set menu per head earns its place. Call +91 84451 00365 with the date, the headcount and the veg-to-non-veg split, and we will price it properly.

Group bookings
What people ask before they book a party
Capacity, cake, parking and the bill. The occasion pages answer the rest.
Can I book for 40 people?
Yes, and you can do it on the site rather than over the phone. The booking form takes up to 60 guests in one booking, so 40 goes straight through. A party of 40 has to be on the rooftop, which seats 60, or on "Any" — the air-conditioned room seats 40 exactly and the private corner seats 20, and the booking engine checks your party against the seats in the area you picked rather than against the building. If the times come back full for a group that size, switch the seating to Rooftop and try again before you change the date.
Do you charge for bringing a cake?
No. There is no cakeage charge at Altitude — bring the cake, hand it to whoever seats you, and tell us when you want it brought out. We keep it somewhere cold until then and bring candles, a knife and plates with it. If it is a surprise, say so in the note on the booking and it arrives after the mains rather than the moment you sit down.
Is there a private area, and how private is it?
There is a corner off the main terrace that seats 20 and closes off from the rest of the roof, so a speech or a song stays with your group rather than travelling across the tables. It is not a separate room with a door — it is a defined corner of an open roof — so it is the right answer for a family dinner or an office team and the wrong one if you need silence.
Can you do a set menu per head?
Yes — there are three, and the prices are on the site rather than quoted on the phone. ₹550 a head for kitty parties, ₹749 for a full dinner, ₹850 with the raita, salad and both desserts included; all three are vegetarian, all three need at least twenty guests, and 5% GST is added to the food. You choose the dishes when you book, so the food arrives together rather than in waves and the bill is known before anybody sits down. Non-vegetarian for a group is possible but quoted, because the price moves with what you pick.
Is there a service charge or a cover charge?
Neither. We do not levy a service charge and we do not levy a cover charge, on any size of table. GST at 5% is worked out on the food and drink and shown on the bill. Whatever you order is what you pay for.
Is there parking for a group?
There is open parking at the foot of the building on MG Road. For a party of thirty, that is eight or ten cars, and it fills fastest between eight and nine on Friday and Saturday — so ask people to arrive a little early on those nights, or use the service lane a short walk away. The lift runs all the way to the top floor, so nobody in the group has to manage stairs at the end.
How far ahead should I book?
For a table of four to eight, the same week is usually fine. For twenty or more on a Friday or Saturday between October and February, give us two weeks — that is the busiest the terrace gets all year. Booking early costs nothing: there is no booking fee and cancellation is free up to two hours before, so holding a date is risk-free.
Can we decorate?
Usually yes, and it is worth asking when you book so we can let you in a little early to set up. Balloons, a banner and table decorations are all fine. Anything that has to be fixed to a wall, or anything with a flame in it beyond birthday candles, needs agreeing with the manager first — it is an open roof and we are careful about both.

The rest is ours to sort out. Book online for anything up to 60 people and it is confirmed straight away; for something larger, or anything with a set menu in it, call and ask for the manager.
No booking fee. Free cancellation up to 2 hours before. Open every day, 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM; the kitchen takes its last order at 11:00 PM.
